ARRL Field Day

The Club set up operations in Penn Forest Recreational Park on 903 on June 25th with one HF transmitter and one VHF transmitter. After two days of operation, we had made 168 contacts and achieved a score of 620. We are looking to 2024 for an even better score.

Our club station is based in the Carbon County Emergency Communication center.

ABOUT

Club News

On August 4, 2023, Karl Verren, KN6CW passed away after a long illness.  He was a former president of the club and gave it a shot of increased enthusiasm and purpose. Our condolences go out to his wife, Tatiana in this difficult time.

We have replaced our old antenna and put up a new OCF dipole and during its initial operation we made two contacts in Russia outside Moscow. We plan some additional fine tuning of that antenna and are working on the selection of a second antenna. Once the radio room is complete, we will post pictures! Stay tuned...

In October we expect the club to participate in the PA QSO Party! RSVP on the club calendar page.
